Espanha, 1932, 1937, 2017.

“It takes a while to figure out why and how these stories fit together, but once they do, the structure feels cleverly satisfying.”

The New York Times

“Is handsomely produced, lovingly detailed and confidently constructed, bringing the puzzle pieces together in the edit and contriving an elegant, poignant cameo for Lorca himself. It is a rich and rewarding movie.”

The Guardian

“An extravagant film about Spain’s history of political and homophobic persecution. The film displays colourful and baroque intricacies, the skilfully crafted film intertwines three stories and timeframes. As queer filmmakers, Los Javis have made no secret of the generational handover from Pedro Almodóvar, one of the producers here.”

Sight and Sound
