Remake do filme ‘Jigureul Jikyeora! - Save the Green Planet!’’ (2003), do realizador sul-coreano Jang Joon-hwan, ‘Bugonia’ é uma comédia satírica do realizador grego Yorgos Lanthimos. O cineasta, de 52 anos, é autor de ‘Kynodontas - Canino’ (2009), ‘The Lobster - A Lagosta’ (2015), ‘The Killing of a Sacred Deer - O Sacrifício de um Cervo Sagrado’ (2017), ‘The Favourite - A Favorita’ (2018) e ‘Poor Things - Pobres Criaturas’ (2024).

“Macabre and amusing conspiracy theory comedy. A wonderful montage finale – but frankly it’s a very, very long run-up to that big jump. 'Bugonia' is a very well made film, and while it is not true to say it is less than the sum of its parts, it is less than that final and very powerful part. It’s a spiny, prickly, hothouse flower.”
